Thanks for sharing this moment in time with us.

Andrew reported out his mission today.

Ths blog has been dedicated to chronicling Andrew's experience in the Houston Texas South Mission. He came home this week.

When a missionary comes home, they typically report on their mission to the local High Council (The ecclesiastical leaders of the area) and their home congregation.

Andrew got to do both today. It was wonderful. We are so proud and touched by his reports, stories, and witness of Jesus Christ.

After the report to the congregation, we had friends over for an open house and refreshments.

It was a wonderful relaxed, and happy day.

One of the highlights was the visit of Elder Ryan Rios and his parents. Elder Rios is Andrews mission 'trainer.' He was the missionary that Elder Bellomy was assigned to when he first got to Texas. Elder Rios' leadership played a HUGE role in setting the foundation for Elder Bellomy to have the mission he served. We are grateful to him and his wonderful family. In fact, Andrew is visiting Provo to check out BYU latter this week and will stay with Ryan. It was great to see the two of them laughing and exchanging stories.

Whew...this ranks right up there as one of the great days of our lives. We are blessed by the Lord!

We thank all of our friends...and all of Andrew's friends for their love and support. We are soooo...grateful for the chance to share this day with all of you!

Whoa...almost forgot. Elder Bellomy homecoming talk.

Whoa...we have been so busy hanging out with Andrew that I have forgotten to announce his homecoming talk.

Elder Bellomy will be speaking:

9:00 AM
Park Meadows Ward
690 North 400 West
Centerville, Utah 84014

The chapel is easy to find. Take the Centerville exit on I-15 going East. At the second light (IHOP and Dairy Queen) turn left (North). The chapel is about three blocks down...the red brick building on your right.)

You are invited to visit Andrew at our home immediately after the service, around 10:15-30 AM.

We are just a few blocks down the street:

Bellomy's
421 West 1000 North (Chase Lane)
Centerville, Utah

From the chapel, drive North on 400 West. Turn West (left) on 1,000 (Chase Lane). Look for the balloons on the mail box.

We invite all of you to share our joy in welcoming Elder Bellomy home.

Mission accomplished!

Elder Andrew Paul Bellomy arrived last night right on schedule. It was great to watch him walk out of the terminal. Hugs and tears all around.

Andrew was a little shell shocked. He is making the rapid transition to regular life.

We met with President Morris, our Stake President. He interviewed Elder Bellomy and released him. It was a wonderful experience. Andrew cried when President Morris read a letter about him addressed to President Morris. Then the moment came. President Morris formally, and honorably,  released Elder Bellomy from his service as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He asked that Eldrew take off his missionary badge. With tears in his eyes, Eldrew...now Andrew took off the badge and slipped it into his pocket.

Mission accomplished!

Two years ago, tonight.

September 1, 2009. (Sarah, Kim, Andrew, Susan, Elizabeth, Adam)
Ahh...a week of sentimentality. It was two years ago tonight that Eldrew was set apart. That night, he officially became a missionary. His Dad (me) was his companion. We didn't separate. We even slept in the same room. The next morning, he was off to the Mission Training Center in Provo.

Five days to go.
